The idea of Braxton Hicks contractions and the body "getting ready" has in some circles fallen out of favor. If your abdomen is getting hard and then this feeling goes away, those may be contractions, and unless you are 38-42 weeks pregnant, they are not a good thing since they can be a sign of impending premature labor. Definitely mention this to your ob and in the mean time make sure you are drinking well over eight, eight ounce glasses of water a day and lieing on your left side as often as possible.

Those are Braxton Hicks contractions. Your body is just practicing for labor, unless your are really close to being due in which case you may want to call your doctor or go to the ER. Time the frequency and the duration of each and if its close or getting closer than run, don't walk to the Emergency Room!

When you're 12-thirteen weeks you will have to be capable to consider the child simply beginning to push out above your pubic bone. 20 weeks and your stomach can be poochy and child will have to be approximately in your stomach button.
