My first husband had a normal sex drive wanted it at least once a day. My second husband MAYBE once a week.... usually once every 2 weeks... aren't most men wanting "it" everyday?

Thanks to all who answered.... He is on meds, he has bi-polar 3, and is very stressed. I AM or was his "dream girl".... But that doesn't matter now.... because we are getting a divorce... I was just wanting to know in general. I have dated men in their 40 and found that their sex drive is low as well... I didn't know men lost their sex drive as they got older. Thanks again.

Sweetie - it's partly in his genes. some guys start out with a higher charge in their batteries. REALLY!!! and others start out with a lower sexual potency. That's not fair - but that's life.
Guys are at their peak of virility in their teens - It starts to decline during twenties, gets lower in thirties, worse during their forties, and by the fifties, they have problems bigtime.
I used to want it every day - but now - I don't even think of my penis except when I urinate . I forgot what else it's good for. And you know what, honey - my penis is shrinking with every passing year. No kidding !!!! It's looking shriveled and contracted. and this comes with the change of life for men.
virility in men doesn't last forever. Puberty starts it & ANDROPAUSE ends it. the end comes slowly, gradually, not in one day, mind you - but eventually the batteries run down.
that's where women differ from men - as ladies age, they want it more & more & more - while the men want it less & less & less.
God made men that way - He gives us a few good years - we look real good, we feel real good, & then He takes it all away.
I'm not fat, I'm not diabetic, hormone levels are normal. yet I can't even masturbate anymore. how do you think I feel.? And it's not stress or psychological at all. It's physical.
Now are we clear about this matter ?????????????

It quite possibly be due to a reduced level of the hormone testosterone. Doctors have a testing process for this that's easily done, and perhaps you might ask about that with a physician. Of course, there are other possible reasons, such as fatigue, marital problems, stress, etc, which I can't comment on here. Good luck, though.

It could be caused by a low testosterone level, happens as we get older. Could be that he gets satisfaction from your relationship to the point that sex simply isn't as important as it once was. Sometimes the stress of work, of providing, takes its toll and he's simply too tired when he gets home. Some suggestions would be to massage him, neck, shoulders and back; without expectation of more. Sometime we like it when you initiate it. If all else fails, talk to him.

No, each man is different. Just as many women don't have big sex drives there are some men who are that way as well. As a man ages his sex drive can wane as well. They don't have the sex drives at 40 they had at 20 usually.

Don't overlook the possibility that he is accessing a lot of pornography online or through movies, therefore his ideal sex partner may not be you, it may be a fantasy woman/women.
DON'T jump to conclusions on this but does he spend a lot of time on the computer or have a porn collection? If he does, then get rid of the net, burn his collection, and forbid it in the house. It ruins marriages and gives him poor attitudes towards women.
I think pornography is an abomination of life itself and a complete insult to the beauty of the God given gift of intercourse between husband and wife.

I thought this was only a female problem......lol. Has he started/changed medication lately? What is his stress level? Are you getting his attention? Check these things out and see if any of these things could be the problem.

I think it's different for all.
Changes with age too.
I like it a lot even at my age.
And I like it different. ie... I hate ruts.
Nothing weird. I just like it different now and then.
Kitchen, Living room.. pink teddy.. white two peice...
the more the rut. The less I'm interested.

No, the older we get, the less we want it. Very unfortunate, but the sad story of aging.

I would say "most" men are wanting "it" once a day....but I'm also guessing that to have "it" once a day, "it" would have to continue to be a little more...something...other wise, "it" might take awhile and it might need a little MORE to perform ..."IT!"
