why would a kid want to be emo? I remember the days that cutting yourself resulted in being put in a psych ward. And guys dressing like girls and girls dressing like guys labeled you "gay"....and now days most of them just do it because all of their friends do it....vegetarianism isnt the thing to do because your friend is doing it...and alot of these little kids didnt even know what "PETA" was until this summer...so why not pick on them?

Because they are ignorant. "Emo" kids ar just misunderstood. I was not an "emo" kid or anything, but from what I see, they just prefer to dress differently than everyone else. They are misunderstood. All I have to say to those people is do what you want to do...dont stress about what other ppl think. They are too busy dressing like everyone else. Atleast "emo" kids have enough courage to not follow societies standards and be their own person. You realize these things when you get out of HS and into the real world.

I've been to the mall - THE place for trend followers. Now, which ones are the "Emo"s? The ones where the boys wear the girls lowrise jeans , white belt , and tight t-shirts? - Or the ones that wear the giant black pants with 50 zippers and chains down their legs? Cause i just don't know. I don't think theres anything wrong with dressing like that , them not me - Besides , this is supposed to be the "Future age" , right? I thought everyone would be in aluminum suits by now! LOL!

It's because the bullies have listened to too much Vanilla Ice and New Kids on the Block. Listening to 98 Degrees will make you violent too.

because they kind of give off an air that says back off. it makes other people feel uncomfortable, so the only way they solve that problem is to pick on the kid, either by bullying or gossiping.
