Our form of democracy is not genuine democracy. And it works just fine, thanks.

Genuine democracy has never worked just ask the French. The problem is a democracy is an unlimited government that can do anything it wants as long as 51% of the people are for it.

It always winds up with two wolves and a sheep voting on what to have for dinner.

We are promoting democracy and that is our mistake. We should be promoting the Rule of Law. Where at least some aspects of life are excluded from government control, and the Rights of individuals are protected.
