escalating to nuclear winter soon?
why is it that we have always allowed unlimited wealth, which causes unlimited poverty, which causes anger, causing violence, social unrest, crime, war, etc, which has escalated war and weaponry for 1000s of years to our present capacity to kill everything on the planet 60 times over?
why do we totally neglect the benficial effects of justice, moderation, wisdom, sense on happiness? why is it that we ruin our happiness on this planet by allowing unlimited wealth, causing extreme misery to rich and poor? why have we never said: no one can owrk more than twice as hard as the average, so no one can have more than twice as much wealth [which is also political power] as the average?
why have we allowed unlimited power to concentrate in the hands of a very few, who use it to dominate, enslave, exploit, plunder & hurt most people, until the people rise up and kill the oppressors? we have 1% getting 90% of world income - US$70 trillion a year - why?

If the working person stopped giving money any power we would not have these problems. We let money control everything. No one needs to kill anyone. They just need to stop. They need to start getting a long and help each other. If money had no meaning would the rich be rich? Also would the poor be poor. Think about it. It is every ones fault. The working man works for these companies and consumes what they don't really need. Nothing has any power unless we give it that power. For example, could anyone posses your house if no one would do it for that company. More so would there be a company if no one did the worked or no one would pay in to it. In order to have power others have to give it to you. The thing is that they use our need to have a roof over our head for the tool to get us to give them power. They make laws in order to force you to rely on a constant source of money and then the hire working people to enforce these laws. Try to set up a big tent on a lot, grow a garden and hang a clothes line in town and see what happens. Also we are told the population is to big to let everyone own there own place to live however we sure have plenty of big businesses with huge parking lots. I believe the people come first and their survival. Who cares about how much money I am going to make someone else when I am working for 8 bucks an hour. I supose keeping the people in debt by charging high prices and interest is a good way to keep people supporting these business with their labor that they don't reep much benifit from. Then their is debt collection that costs even more. If someone was financially well enough to pay all of that money then they could pay their bills. Don't get sick!

Because there are one too many of us. A scientist once did an experiment by putting two rats in a box. The rats were fine, got along well with one another. Then he put a third and a fourth rat and some squabbles occurred but even then the rats were okay. Eventually he added a fifth, sixth, seventh and an eighth rat and soon the rats were tearing each other apart.

Darwin would call this survival of the fittest. Many politicians will promise to fix this and rise to power only to become one of the rich and powerful who proliferate the situation. (Stalin, Mao, Hitler)

Eventually, the rich will start to be left alone with their money and realize that it is worth nothing without the rest of the population. Hopefully, this will happen while the human race can still recover.

Great question!!!

Main reason is increasing power of capitalism i.e individualism. In modern society, there is no safety for anyone, if he fails to take care of him. This happened due to increase in population, which made highly populated countries to cheap body shops and with in the populated countries, there are lot of differences. In economic scenario, everybody wants more and the resources are scarce. So, one should defend himself as well as fight to be stable as well as to increase its wealth. This leads to accumulation of ammunition. It is not a deviation. Previously the technology was not advanced, so the communities were storing more weapons which cannot do much and with the rapid pace of technology growth, you have all high tech nuclear weapons as stored ammunition.

Well, confiscation of the property of others is also known as stealing. A government capable of doing that would itself have unlimited power. Such governments have proven to be more deadly to their citizens then the petty problems you are complaining about.

100,000,000 dead last century, killed by their own unlimited governments. Your idea has been tried and found to be unsatisfactory, calling it something else doesn't change what it is.
