I need help on how to dance in a club type setting. All I know how to do is grind, but it's kind of awkward if that's all I do.

Get a friend & get some lessons; people will say "Listen to the beat of your heart... hear the tempo of the music" and some other zen-esque nonsense. Rubbish! When I was a boy, I had to learn from one of the girls at church; she took pity on me as a tubby lad with little coordination and felt sorry enough to help me manuver through disco. As I got older I learned from my wife and from a dance coach. Granted I don't dance well but I DO dance, even if it's occassionally.

If you're lucky & have some younger cousins they can teach you some of the moves that are most popular. But in your cache of styles you should have some of the more popular dances:

- the Electric Slide
- a waltz
- a two-step
- a slow dance (grind only IF you like someone)
- the Chicken dance
- a polka (and depending on your area of the US such as the upper Northern states or the Southwest you could use this often!
- a little dicso (not the overly flashy Travolta pointing thing either)
- some Latin moves (samba, rumba, mambo, cha-cha)

Believe me, lessons will be worth the time and the money in the end.... and in having this arsenal you should have no problem in finding any man willing if not begging to dance with you. And don't turn him down, even the UGLY ones. The more you dance tthe more you're noticed.

Appeal & confidence increasing = happiness & fun!

Good luck!

It depends which dance you need to learn by if they playing hip hop,r&b or reggetone. If you in a club youll probably be dancing to all three. If its mostly r&b grinding is a must but it depends if you just on a boy or you on that freaky stuff like in Nj cause here we dance on walls or on the floor. If its reggae learn some of them jamacian dances. If its hip hop yeah its some grindin but since the songs are faster you can walk it out or chicken noodle soup. Just turn on some BET after school and study the dances

How did you learn to read? Eat? Count? Someone showed you how and you practiced. Dance is no different. Find someone (Pay for lessons even) who can already dance. Do what they do.
