It's not only Converse, but I'd say that Converse is the best example. It is an incredibly flat shoe at the bottom, and if you wear them a lot/ that's all you wear, your feet will conform to that and become flat, as well. The opposite is true when you wear nothing but heels all the time, especially high ones-- you form a high arch to conform to the shoe.

I'm not exactly sure on whether Converse are bad for your feet. However, just in case, to take away some of the shock and even add a bit of a curve inside the shoe, put in an insole-type thing (I forgot what the real word was.) That should help, even if the shoes are bad for your feet.

in a way because there is no arch support in converse shoes. it's basically rubber and canvas. and it's not only converse shoes that can make feet flat..your arch can fall anytime if you don't take care of your feet. you shouldn't be wearing heels no higher than 1" the most, but you know that's not possible, whatever you need you will need to have arch support for your feet cause our feet are not made to be walked barefooted these days with all the different type of shoes and stuff. just take care and be more aware of you feet and posture.

Shoes do not make your feet flat. A lot (and I mean A LOT) of walking can. However the lack of ankle support in converse can add a little weight on your feet making them ache more than regular tennis shoes.

Yes its true. Because they have no arch support and little padding, they can make your feet hurt and rather sore, but I doubt they'll make you feet flat.

Either way they are still by far my favorite shoes ever and I think they are comfortable.

yes because your feet being so flat to the ground causes your arch in your foot to come down!and when the arch comes all the way down your feet will hurt when you put on any other shoes!
