I am so sorry for your loss.

My miscarriage (August 7, this year) was allowed to progress naturally. I was 8 weeks along, but the baby had passed away at 5 weeks gestation. My bleeding lasted for about three weeks, fading at times and at other times getting very heavy.

You probably aren't done. The progression of your miscarriage should be followed by your doctor. In the three weeks following the start of my miscarriage, I was seen by my OB/GYN three times, had three blood tests and two ultrasounds. They were following the progress of the miscarriage to make sure that everything would proceed naturally and without complication. It took three weeks for my bleeding to stop. My pain lasted for about a week, but was very bad only on the day after the baby passed from me.

Good luck.

I lost my first baby at 7 weeks too. i did bleed for almost a week, after losing the baby it turned into a period. It will probably be a good idea to go the your doctors for a check up, as sometimes you may need a querette (not sure on spelling!). This means a clean-up of your insides, and just a check to make sure everything is out. Not a nice feeling as you also have to have an internal ultrasound, but it is a good idea. Sorry about your loss, and hope this helps>

when i lost my first baby i was in the hospital for two weks. i was 13 weeks along. it was hard and it was hell. so i know what you are going through. if you have cramps that will not go away i would get in to see the doc ASAP if she dosent want to see ou then go into the ER. you need to make sure that everyting is out, because if there is anything left inside you from this pregnancy you can get a very bad infection. good luck

You should go see your doctor and ask about a D&C. So they can make sure that everything pass though, that is what I had when I lost my baby. I'm sorry for your lost, it will take you some time to heal but you will and I hope this does not stop you from trying in the near future. Good Luck and God Bless

I'm sorry for your loss. :( You may be done or there may be more left... go see your doctor tomorrow before the weekend--you don't want to end up having to have a D&C in an emergency department on a Sunday morning at 3:00am!
