Every fossil, every observation in biology points to evolution. There is nothing that goes against it or points to a different way to scientifically explain modern diversity. There is not one fossil or one piece of DNA that does NOT point to evolution. It would be hard NOT to see the concrete evidence, and only those blinded by faith can do this.
Evolution is 100% world-wide accepted fact, including the evolution of man.
There is ZERO evidence for a higher being causing anything. This is why people who are religious need faith, you can't see or study the actions of a deity, by definition. Evolution has ZERO faith and ALL evidence.
Scientists (real ones) have been studying and supporting evolution for over 150 years, and still nothing has pointed to creationism. There is clear links and transitional forms between everything in the fossil record to the Class-Family level, if not Genus-Species level. And this includes humans, which there are several 'missing links' which are well described and studied, people just choose to ignore this. Sure, there are still things we don't know, but that's why science is not stagnent and dead. We learn more every day, that's what happens when you keep an open mind and follow the scientific method.
There are some areas of evolution in which all of the pieces have not been found in the fossil record, but there is no counter theory that has even ONE piece of evidence that can not easily be explained by evolution.
Let me turn the question around, if Creationism was correct and science could definitively prove Creationism (and thus the existence of God), why would they not? That would be the greatest scientific discovery in the history of the world. No one would pass that up to maintain the 'status quo'. There is no conspiracy to hide creation evidence. Anyone who knows real scientists knows they are glory-mongers first. They love to prove others wrong to enhance their own standing. And if any scientist could prove Creation/God, it would've been done a long time ago.
Go to a museum, take a class in biology, go to reputable sites on the Internet (like AAAS: http://www.aaas.org/news/press_room/evolution or http://www.talkorigins.org ) and find out for yourself.

I'm afraid you're wrong (sorry to sound nastly) Evolution has NOT been either proved or disproved. However, the scientific evidence strongly supports the theory, which is why it continues to be taught.
To draw a comparison: For years, the structure of the atom (proton, neutron, and electron) was only a theory, which had not been proved. However, as no strong evidence emerged to disprove it, it continued to be taught. Thanks to further developments, this structure has been finally proved correct.
So, just because Evolution hasn't been proved yet, that doesn't mean it won't be. And until strong evidence emerges to suggest that it's wrong (I don't mean 'gaps' in the evidence, and I mean actual evidence to disprove the theory) it will continue to be taught.
Now, I'm sure some people will bring up the Bible, and say that it 'proves' Evolution is wrong. Personally it's an arguement I hate getting into, as it can never be resolved.
The Bible, in scientific terms, is not proof. I'm not saying that people shouldn't belive what the Bible says. My point is that Evolution, which does have a basis in scientific evidence, should be taught in science class. Creationism on the other hand, is an issue of religous belief, and should therefore be taught in religous/philosophical classes.
Everyone is entitled to their beliefs; I would just like to see appropriate material being taught in the right classroom.

This is a complicated question, but I will try to address a few points it raises.
First off, Evolution is both a fact and a theory. Evolution that fact is that organisms genetic code has changed. Simple as that. We know that genetic code changes with generations in most organisms, and no one (and by this, I mean no one at all) disputes that the change has occurred. This, by definition, is Evolution.
Secondly, Evolutionary Theory (Darwinian Evolution) is a theory that describes how the fact of evolution (genetic change) would have taken place, through the process of competition (survival of the fittest).
The second form of evolution, Evolutionary Theory, has not been disproved in science. Think about it, with Evolutionary Theory being the leading theory in all of biology, called the central unifying theory of biology, then if someone had ever disproved it they would probably be given the Nobel Prize. Evolutionary Theory is not under scientific attack, there is no debate among credible scientists. To the best of our knowledge, both the Fact of Evolution and the Theory of Evolution is right.

Evolution has never been disproved... There are many people who would like to pretend it doesn't exist but covering your ears and screaming LA LA LA LA LA at the top of your lungs only works for so long.
As far as proving that evolution happens, it has been shown in many species, even while we watch (finches on the Galapagos islands for one), ehich is amazing really because the process generally takes thousands if not millions of years...
Evolution in bacteria and other species that can be watched for literally thousands of generations has shown how the mechanisms work as well.
Evolution IS fact and that is why it is being taught as such.

It has been shown to be the best possible explantion that we have. It has been shown true in a number of cases, and is the best explanation we have for what has been observed.
It hasn't been disproved in a scientifically rigorous fashion. Many propose alternatives to evolution but all of them defer to some sort of deity or intelligent design, which science is unable to confirm.
Evolution is taught as theory. It is not taught as something fully understood or not subject to modification. A theory is simply an explantion our environment based on observed and repeatable phenomenon. Evolution is an explanation of what we observe that does not rely on supernatural phenomenon. In the scientific community, "god did it" is a cop-out, rather than an explanation.

According to the scientific process, nothing can be proved or disproved by science. Science simply lays out the facts which are then used to either support or oppose a hypothesis/theory/law. Much of evolution's so-called evidence is perspective oriented. In other words, if you look at it one way, it supports the theory and if you look at in another, it argues against it.
One of the large reasons that Evolution is being taught at schools as fact with none of the other theories presented or the arguments against Darwin's threory presented is because the most obvious alternative to evolution is Intelligent Design which involves God or a god-like being to design the universe and most secular scientists appose that point of view.
Sadly, it is a blatant disregard for the true meaning of science and they have lost sight of what they should be doing.

You know, during a survey of 44 countries about evolution, Americans came 43 in not accepting the evolution theory. Why are you guys still stuck while the rest of the world is moving on and is using this theory to explain different things and solve different problems. If viruses and bacteria can mutate almost on a daily basis, why is it so hard to see that same things could have happened in other animals? Jut because something is not in accordance with your religious believes it does not mean that it is wrong!

The Theory of Evolution is one of the most durable theories in science and has a huge body of evidence to support it. All scientists except the lunatic fringe accept it. Only lay people who are too lazy to get the facts, or too brainwashed by religious fantasy, don't accept it.

What is a "fact" anyway? Nothing in the scientific community can be proven once and for all--most of it is speculation. Plus, what difference does it REALLY make whether one agrees or disagrees with the theories of evolution.

relies upon on whose God or relies upon on how literal (utilizing classic, not unavoidably maximum precise translation) bible believers are. to three early church fathers (exceedingly Augustine, i think) each and all of the previous testomony must be taken allegorically, so as that it could 'improve' or coach NT memories and church teachings. the numerous early rabbis, even previously Maimonides, over 1000 years in the past, warned approximately taking Genesis actually. Genesis grew to become into not meant to be an early biology or technological know-how textbook, in fact it does not even attempt to respond to particular questions (like the place did the water or formless, empty earth come from?), they simply assumed it. Genesis a million is greater of a poem/music, a non secular litany then a step-by ability of-step coaching or technical instruction manual. yet, the stern literalists not in basic terms make themselves seem silly and out of touch with the fact of God's introduction around them, yet they make God a small god. somewhat of exalting God, they demean God, only approximately making God a human. they are making the 'clever clothier" much less clever than a extreme college technological know-how pupil.
