Singapore is a small city (it takes about 2 1/2 hrs to drive round the whole island).
Most hotels offer sight seeing tours. However, it is more fun to explore Singapore on your own. The local public transport system will reach most tourist attractions (all you need to do is ask the drivers or read a map). There are also "Tourist Information Centres" located around the island to give directions.
If you are travelling with elderly, I will advise you to take the sight-seeing tour. If not, then try exploring on your own. Singapore is a safe country with low crime rate. In addition, most places are brightly lid, so it is safe to walk around even after mid-night.

People can go for sightseeing or they dont..up to the person. Its a small but clean and safe city. Once you comedown here, there will be a lot of things that you can do for a few days. Information is available everywhere here in Singapore
PS. If you are coming by the end of the year, bring umbrella. Its raining quite a bit now

I found it far to big to walk around so I used either the Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) system to go into the shopping precinct or went on tours arrange through the hotel. My son and I went to the Zoo (which was great) on one tour and another tour took us through Chinatown and Raffles Hotel. I enjoyed my time there.

yes some tourists do sight seeing, the website is below. walking around is just too hot for us, we usually take public transport to get to our destination. the city area is not too big can use 1day to look around.

aha.. its nt vry big.. 2-3 days is enuf for u to c evrythng.. nt much sight seeing tours actually.. n nt much places to go except going shopping, eating n still eating.. well.. go der n experience urself n u will know it..
