If so, can you still get pregnant if it does come out like a blob?

It comes out both ways. The more slippery it comes out, the better. If you go on the internet, they will recommend taking robitussin cough medicine to thin out the mucous, if the blob is too thick. Read "Taking Charge fo your Fertiility" by Toni Weschler. It talks about the quality of fluid and the robitussin reference. I have usually found that the "blob" is at the end of my ovulation time and that the optimal fertiltiy time is when the fluid is thin and clear. Good luck.

I can only tell you about my experience. It started out with a small slimely yellow blob. Then it gradually increased in size with blood. A couple days before my water broke, a long string on mucus with blood came out everytime I went to the bathroom.
