I started working afterschool at the Burger King on Pompton Ave., Cedar Grove, NJ about a month ago. I saw at least three times that another female co-worker had really bad dandruff flaking down onto burgers being made and sold to customers. She's been there almost a year. Should I tell on her? I don't want to be on her bad side.

I don't think you'll have to tell on her... maybe someone here that's from there will do it for you. :)

You should make a anonymous call to the store manager about this, I'm sorry that you don't want to be on bad terms with this co-worker, but people's health are at stake. Some things you just gotta do no matter what and this just happen to be one of those things.

If you are afraid to make the call then have a female relative call anonymous and say they work with this dandruff employee.

If you don't know this person on a personal friendship level then don't worry much over what really isn't worth worrying over.

Just report this and stop trying to be a friend to where you probably are not a friend anyways.

If you're brave, pull her aside and point it out to her...perhaps she doesn't realize whats happening. If that is too uncomfortable for you I would suggest telling a supervisor, shift manager or even leave an anonymous note in the suggestion box. Or, when you go home at the end of your shift, call your local health department. This is a health code violation and they do need to send an inspector to the restaurant. If the Health Dept. asks for your name, tell them that you would rather remain anonymous because you work there and you do not want this to come back on you or make you lose your job...then again....its only BK...why not buy a newspaper and start looking through the want ads.

You should tell the manager that you need a confedential talk with him/her. Tell him about the dandruff. Isn't she wearing a hair net or a cap? That is discusting..To say the least glad I don't live there.

You need to tell the manager in private.. Make him/her aware of the problem and they will take notice and make necessary corrections
