Good question.

If you only were to "commend" on the grammar of fellow YA surfers, it wouldn't work well for me.
If you were to comment on their grammar, and ALSO would explain how it best SHOULD have been....THEN it would work for me. (English is not my native language, and tho I think it's good enough to make myself clear, I know my grammar is appalling, so any help would be welcome)

Mind you : IMHO it ALL comes down on HOW you comment and explain things....if it was done in a patronizing manner, it would turn me off big time.

Sometimes I have trouble understanding fellow YA-surfer's questions, cuz they don't use capital letters or/and punctuation.....it doesn't annoy me, cuz I think they can't do any better, but I admit I DO think at times those people could do with some grammar-lessons as much as I can.

Should you report the use of "bad" grammer?
IMHO definitely NOT.
I don't think it's a violation against the guidelines, and further more people would benefit more by getting help than getting reported.

BTW, may I say to you that the word "I" should always be written with a capital (sp?) letter? I take it your "i" was just a typo!
And I think it would have been better had you used a "komma" after the word : "surfers".

I don't think you should report them. It's not that big of a deal, most people make a few mistakes with grammer or spelling on YA one time or another so you shouldn't feel offended or anything. The person must have been really bored to comment on your grammer. Just leave them be, if they want to be rude then that's their problem not yours.

If you comment to them, they will likely report you. Been there, done that. The grammar and spelling on here are like nails on a blackboard (cringes).
