My wireless icon internet says its disable, i tried everything but it dont work anyone else had this problem please let me know

G'day,

Unfortunately you did not mention the brand and model of the laptop.

Try these 3 steps:
1. Check the network properties (Start-Settings-Control Panel - Network Connections). Find your wireless network card icon, right-click and select Enable. If you cannot find the wireless network card icon, it means that either the laptop does not supplied with one, or the driver is not installed (in this case, install the driver).
2. If step 1 does not make it on, check your laptop casing. It may have a switch to turn the connection on or off manually. Switch it on.
3. You need to check the laptop documentation. Most laptops come with the network connection management software and this software may give you problems in enabling the wireless connection.

This is also dependent on what type of router or network you are connecting to. 802.11 b/g. If it is a school network, make sure the wireless card is compatible as some schools have LEAP networking and some internal network cards do not.
