No... I find it to be very therapeutic. Be verbalizing your thoughts you get to really understand and know yourself!

On the contrary: talking to oneself can be beneficial and mentally healthy. Also, many memory enhancement techniques consist of talking out loud to yourself. For example, when trying to memorize a person's name whom you just met, it helps to say their name a few times to yourself and picture their face. That way you will remember them easier next time you meet. The same goes for memorizing a new language, or even test answers. The brain simply files things away better when it hears your voice affiirm it, since it is in that way that it files spoken info from others all day long.

No not at all- sometimes it helps one stay focused.
Now answering yourself is the same no problem with that either- But if you get to the point when you ask out loud "Wait a minute what did I just say?" then you have a problem you aren't even listening to yourself!
haha
good question

ABSOLUTELY NOT! I often do it and like doing it. I think we fell for society's view that people who talk to themselves are mad or loony or something. I say nonsense. I reason out loud with myself and reprimand myself out loud and find that it helps a lot in getting to the answers I am looking for. So, go on, be yourself.

good conversation can only be had with someone you relate to. sometimes your the only one who can relate too. others just critisize, no compassion. you are not alone when talking to self, there is another one listening. you just have to believe.

No, I do it all the time. I find it a great way to resolve problems. Half of me agrees and half of me has another opinion. Very good dialog.

It would be worse if you didn't. Either people talk to themselves out loud or they talk inside themselves. It's called a conscience. :)

there is absolutely nothing wrong with talking to yourself. but it would also be good to listen to what you tell yourself.

no, as long as you don't carry a two way conversation with yourself.
