You'd be crazy to mess with the space time continuum. Consider the following:
You would like to kill Hitler when he was a baby...a very riteous move...right? Wrong, dead wrong, because of that mistep, Ernst Roem becomes dictator in 1933. HE decides to carry on 'heavy water' experiments in the early 30's and develops the atomic bomb by 1939.
He easily defeats Mother Russian and the Western allies, eliminated Eupopean Jewry and enslaves half the planet. Because of you're 'undoing' an event in history, you made things worse!!!!

Undoing something will make other things happen that didn't happen before.
Once history is changed there would be a neverending ripple effect. You could undo a marriage, but then you also undo all the following generations of offspring. Those offspring knew people too which also is undone. Suppose someone in that chain of people was famous - undone........ it goes on and on and on....
I'd like to undo the events of 9/11, but what effect would that have? It could actually cause something worse to happen

Well, it always seems like a good idea to undo a great wrong or misfortune, but, as others have said, it could undo a lot of good along with the bad and lead to unforeseen and possibly dire consequences. The Alfred Bester short story, "The Men Who Murdered Mohammed" treats this theme in an interesting way: Due to his wife's infidelity, a Mad Scientist repeatedly goes back
in time to prevent her existence but can only affect his "personal"
timeline. He becomes more and more insubstantial, and every time he goes back to look, his wife is still cheating on him...

I would undo the beginning of slavery. Its not right that an entire race had to go through centuries of servitude and absolute horror. Without slavery, maybe Black people wouldn't have to worry about living in a place they had no choice to come to today.

any instance of genocide: European slaughter of Native Americans, Holocaust, Rwanda, Armenia, Cimmerians, Noakhali, Isrealites by Egyptians, Genghis Kahn & sons, Congo, Ireland, Polish Lithunania, Croatia, Tokugawa Shogunate, Soviet Union.
There's no proof that messing with the space time continuum is dangerous because it hasn't been done so let's all dream a little and let the people live.
Killing sucks.

The car crash that killed Princess Diana. She was just getting her life together and her sons were of the age when they really needed her. I always admired her compassion for the unlovey lowly people of this world and the respect she gave them. I also admired how she taught her sons from an early age that while they were royal born, they put their pants on the same way as any other person.

The Holocaust. I believe that it has been the saddest event in human history. Ohhhh, no better, Hitler even being born.

Martin Luther King being assassinated. He would have united our country and the false perception that there is racism in this country would not exist. He would have surely gone on to become president of this country.
