The last time I checked, America is nowhere near Europe so how could it join? Maybe under another name?

From European Commission website:
"The EU Treaty says that any European country which respects the values of democracy, human rights and the rule of law may apply for EU membership."
So, not only does the U.S. not happen to be in Europe but I very much doubt or "shining record" on those other things would get us in.

The US is not a European country, and has vastly different concerns from most European countries, not to mention vastly different political traditions. I think the idea is patently foolish and unworkable, and any American politician who might be crazy enough to suggest it will be FINISHED quickly.

the U. S. won't connect the ecu. If purely with the aid of fact it particularly is purely too vast and the ecu could be completely unbalanced. the U. S. ought to grow to be a effective best pal to the ecu via combating to confuse globalization with Americanization, via exhibiting greater appreciate to international regulation and via taking a greater accountable recommendations-set on climate replace matters.

I believe we shouldn't worry about that, all those worried about the price of our $$$ going down need to think of ways to bring down the deficit which is what's making our currency inflate like this.
