No, do the kid a favor and pick a different name for him. You have proved your point that you can father a child but why not give the kid a break from a very bad tradition. I have seen to many families full of little Johnnies, or Williams or jr, or II or III.

Well if it is a tradition in your family of course you should but if its not you should perhaps think of a name that is not so old because I dont know many fredericks that are in school years so maybe just call him isaac or try and combine the two names or even find parts of you and your dads name hidden in it like derick, rick/ricky or maybe change the sound of isaac to zac??

That would be up to you and your partner. If you named your baby Frederick Isaac like you, it would be Frederick Isaac the third. It's a cute name though.

You certainly can name him after you and your dad, but why not give him a different name along with the name Frederick which is a beautiful name?

Isaac is a nasty call for absolutely everyone, in my opinion. So, so grotesque. No offence, even with the undeniable fact that that is destructive to me. I knew a guy in severe college named Isaac. He become a stoner and dropped out interior the 9th grade. He had straggly bleach blonde hair and pimples. I in all possibility in basic terms hate the call plenty through seen connotation. desire i've got helped!

Since you haven't named the baby yet it sounds like there might be some hesitation, perhaps some conflict between you and the baby's mother? You have a nice name and it wouldn't hurt the baby to have your name, but this needs to be worked out between both of you.

Yeah that would be fine. Or you could name him Frederick Isaac III. Oh and congratulations.

I hate the whole passing on names tradition, but you have such a great name. I have a little Isaac, too.
