Recess means your in elementary right? Kids today do not look like kids anymore, this is due to all the hormones that are placed in our food. Don't worry! You are still young and have plenty of time to develop and unlike these girls you do not want to to peak in Elementary or Junior High hahahaha.... EVERYONE is self conscious about one thing or another. When I was young, my cousins made fun of my ears, and now I guess I just grew into them and could care less what anyone thinks of me. Why does it matter anyway?

By the way I am 21 and sometimes get hit on by 13 year old boys, now that stinks!!!

First off- there is no such thing as too many questions.

Second, I'm a teenager I remember how it felt when everyone was getting their period and I was stuck behind and wondering what it was like. (Believe me you aren't missing anything) Most of my friends got their period before me, but when I did get mine the rest of my development followed extremely quickly after. Now I look older than all my friends.

The moral of the story is don't worry about it, everyone grows up at different times.

Remember, everything turns out okay in the end. If things aren't okay, it's not the end.

If you are concerned about your size, you should discuss this with your physician. However, now-a-days, women are not concerned much about periods; there are birth control pills that allow for women to have 1 (one) period every three months or more.

So, a period has nothing to do with being womenly - as they are suggesting. The truth is, even girls as young as eight years old can begin to have their periods.

P.S. You may need fo find other girls to hang out with. Some that don't like to talk about vagina, would be a good idea.

Hope this answers your question!

well i got my period at ten yrs old and have always looked alot younger than i am ,i'm 31 and most people think i'm in my early 20's which at times can be annoying but when i'm older at least i won't look it just be nice to yourself and be happy for who you are not what you look like or do,strange how some females can be so competitive with each other with silly things.when i was in my 20's i could pass my self off as a teenager and got into movies and on public transport for the kids prices,so just have fun

Some people mature later than others. It's okay not to have your period when you still have recess! It's no fun and it's terribly annoying. Enjoy your period-less years. When you finally get your period, you'll probably wish you were a kid again! Don't worry, you'll get your period soon enough. It's normal to get it anytime between age 9 and age 18.

This may not mean much coming from me seeing how I'm a guy. But I remember when all the other guys in my grade had pubic hair and I didn't. But as time passed I had it, so it takes time. Don't wish your life away... Hope I helped...

Don't worry about it...really. Believe me, once you do get it, you will not like it...so enjoy it while you can! I'm jealous of you! I always looked young too...matter of fact, I still do lol (I'm 18). But remember, when you are older, you will be glad that you look young! :)
