I hate to tell you but I don't think that you'll be able to find the trees that they have in Cali. I am living south of you (outside Houston)they have tree farms and there are tree lots on every corner but they won't have the same types of trees. Most of these trees come from east coast and the blue mountain area. If your are used to the Douglas fir, scotch pine you are going to be out of luck. One thing to remember most of the trees around here are being cut right now (the first of November) so they don't last as long as the trees from California. It simply the fact they are transported farther and are drier. Hopefully you'll get to go home for some Christmas's and get used to wearing shorts on Christmas Day..

Grocery stores carry them. Or you can go to a Christmas tree farm (those are usually listed in the paper).
