I have 4 children and I want to buy them laptops for Christmas.Where is the best place to buy them and I have heard there is a device I can buy to attach to my home computer so we can all be online at once.I need all the help i can get Im a single working Mom that needs to know the place I can get good quality and great prices.Thanks for all the help in advance.CRAZED MOM

Dell.com is a good place to start. They have great deals on laptops, available coupons, and pretty good support.
First, the laptop, use a coupon to get the best deal. You can find current coupons at http://www.24houredeals.com/dell-coupons-23-mer.html.
Second, the item you are looking for so everyone can be on at 1 time is a router. Some are wireless, and it sounds like this is what you need. It can be bought with your laptop at dell. The instructions to set it up come with it and if you get stuck you can call their support.

i like the answer about best buy and support team and all the help they'd give, got a nice chuckle out of that. Honestly if you want laptops for your kids, get them on a site like craigslist or ebay, or check the paper for people selling them right before the holidays. Your kids are going to trash them, no matter what age they are, its going to take some abuse.
Get a wireless router, and get some usb wireless adapters if they don't have wireless built into the laptop. You can share your internet connection that way. Go with linksys, d-link or netgear models, they have decent, free, 24x7 support and won't break the bank.

Staples, Circuit City, and Best Buy are good places for laptops. What you need to be online at the same time is a router and wireless internet cards for each laptop. The router needs to be connected to a PC and a modem that is connected to your ISP (Internet Service Provider like Verizon, AOL, Comcast, etc.).

Purchase them from Bestbuy because the support team will really help you. Don't go over $599 because it will be overkill for what you need. Make sure they have integrated wireless!! You will then need a wireless router to send the internet to them wirelessly, you can also network them together easily!

I would recommend Gateway there laptops are fast and they come out with the newest technology. The Gateway convertible is one of the coolest laptops right now.It also has the networking card for your kids could all be on line at the same time.Its integrated wireless

walmart has a decent compaq for 400 a guy posted a link on it in here the other day asking if it was a good buy. it is!. you need a wireless router to hook up to your cable or dsl modem so you can get online all at once. you can pick up one of them at walmart for 50 bucks.
Also dell has a fantastic credit program.

Watch for the walmart ad this thanksgiving for the day after sale.
Last year they had a model for 400.00, it was a darn nice machine.
Of course, you will have to stand in line at walmart at 4am.. But, you can get a great deal.

get them an apple macbook there great i have one and you dont get any kind of viruses on them or anything and they are also really fast :)
