I think Sophie is more of a model name because it sounds young and fun, try Sophia for an actress name because it is elegant and classy.

its more of an actress name, if you wanted a model name i would go with something simple like anna, katie, casey, bree. an actress in todays world wont often us her real name and go for something that stands out and makes her unique.
have a look at the link below, and it will show you how many famous people change there names.for example - Marilyn Monroe is not her real name, it is Norma.

Sophie sills her pies, because she observed her sisters further side with the nursery rhyme. Sophie swooned over Stephen Stills, yet no longer until she stumbled on stilts at age six. concurrently, Sophia Loren is Sophie's cinematic decision, nevertheless she is conscious Sophia is closer to a sprig than Stills is. She surmises it is because she sends that singer, (Stephen) seven of her silled-pies semi-month-to-month. detrimental Sophia--she's seen none. tale's ethical: Sophie's stupid, because Sophia's supervisor pronounced, "Sophie, deliver Ms. Loren your silled-pies!"
