I've polled all of my friends (especially those with a boy and a girl) and the concensus seems to be that when they had their boys they didn't have morning sickness, yet with their girls they were quite ill. Is it merely coincidental?

I have a 2 year old daughter. And all throughout my pregnancy with her I never had any morning sickness what-so-ever. I really didn't crave any particular type of foods either. I basically could've eaten whatever I wanted, but of course chose to eat right during my pregnancy. Every woman is different in what they experience during their 9 months.
HTH.

Well I just have two girls and I had morning sickness, a lot of morning sickness. I am not sure with boys though. I never thought it had anything to do with the sex of the baby.

I'm 23 weeks with a girl and I never had any morning sickness.. it was totally opposite with my mom who had 2 of each and had no morning sickness with the boys, and horrible morning sickness with me and my younger sister. She swore up and down that she was sure I was having a boy, until we found out at the ultrasound. :) Purely coincidental.

I'm 40+ weeks pregnant, having a girl. I had absolutely no morning sickness whatsoever. It's probably a genetic thing, as my mom had no morning sickness with all five of the kids she gave birth to.

Never had a baby girl, only boys. But with both of my boys, I had insane morning sickness. My mother-in-law, the mother of three boys, was the same way. With all three boys, she was so sick and nauseous she couldn't hardly move.

It's totally a coincidence. My mother had no morning sickness with myself or my brother. I'm currenly 36 weeks pregnant with a girl, and haven't had any morning sickness.
