It's the open source browser that IE7 is trying to copy (but doesn't do quite as well as the original)

It's just an alternative internet browser. There is also Thunderbird which is Mozillas answer to Outlook.
I have found that Firefox blocks pop-ups better. I don't have the issues with it that I have with IE. There are only a few things like Yahoo Games that it doesn't seem to be compatible with but I don't play Yahoo Games so that doesn't matter to me.
If you come across something that Firefox isn't compatible with you can download extent ions or create your own. Check out the webiste I listed for more detailed info.

Go to Mozzila's website. Fire Fox is a main competitor to IE. It's better because it's more secure and easier to navigate.

FireFox is the browser that Microsoft has spent the last five years trying to get IE to become.
