Hi guys!

I am scheduled to come in for a second interview with a really great custom screen print, logo and embroidery company. On the first interview I wore khakis, a sweater and a jean jacket. The lady I interviewed with said that the company is really laid back and wears jeans and t-shirts. Would it be ok if for my second interview I wore a nice pair of jeans, high heeled boots, a sweater and a khaki jacket? I didn't know if that would be acceptable or not. Thanks for your help!! :)

In my opinion you should always wear professional attire even though the company has a very relaxed or laid back dress code.

This is key for making a first impression you cannot change.

As for your second interview I would recommend that you do not wear a nice pair of jeans, high heeled boots, a sweater and a khaki jacket.

You should wear a professional business suit or a pair of nice slacks with a nice blouse and jacket with business style shoes.
You never know who you will be meeting with.

Remember the person who interviewed you already has a job and you trying to obtain one.

Best of luck!

No matter how laid back the company that you're trying to get to hire you, you should always dress up a little more than you would at the job. I would not do jeans, Try a pair of khakis with a solid colored shirt/blouse so you dont look too dressed up. Or you can buy khaki colored jeans. Those give you the comfort and casual-feeling of jeans without looking too casual.

You may only have one chance at it so go with heels but not the jeans. I interview many women and a relaxed dress code to start often means it will get worse. If someone walked in wearing jeans or trainers I would just close the book so go start as you mean to go-on. Court shoes are a real winner but think twice about the flashy or designer labels.

I'd play it safe and wear casual pants but not jeans. It's always better to dress a little nicer than you have to for a job interview. The second go-round may include higher-ups in the company who might find jeans a little too informal for the occasion.

The rest of your outfit sounds great. Good luck!

I would keep it slightly more professional than jeans. They liked you enough to call you back so go with something similar to what you wore to the first round. Break out the jeans after you get the job! And good luck! We're rooting for you!

I dont reccomend wearing denim to an interview at all, even though the company is laid back, you dont work for them, yet. Keep it professional, a pencil skirt or some professional pants and a blouse or blazer would be great.

I would only say yes to jeans if they are nice & taylored. You don't want to look sloppy, and I would avoid a light color denim. I would go with the darkest non black wash you can find, and make sure the hem falls at a good level for your boots.

If it was okay the first time, I am sure it is again. As long as you are neat and clean. What ever the interviewer was wearing should guide you on what they wear.
