I have a pretty good profolio but not the grades.

I got into The School of the Art Institute of Chicago with a lower GPA than that. That school bases admission solely on your portfolio, but you will have to demonstrate basic competency in reading. It's one of the best regarded fine arts colleges in the country, so if you're serious I would say definitely apply there. If your portfolio is really good, you might even get a scholarship based on your portfolio. Good luck!

i don't know what they're after these days but lets hope you can get in on your portfolio. apply to more than one, there's plenty of good ones out there.
