I luv music alot but what does the LP and EP mean? i kinda know what they are but i want an actual definition or explanation of what they are please. (and im not talking about VCRs either im talking about CDs.) thank you♥

This is my opinion as a music lover as you also :
LP is stand for Long Playing, or in general it's mean full album, a full album mostly have minimum 9 or more songs in an album.

EP is extended play, if we talk about this then we should talk also about a single, a single mostly have 1 - 3 songs, so then we call it as single and the ep is in the middle between single and Lp, mostly the ep have 4 - 8 songs. Some people say that the Ep is a mini album.

But of course everybody can say it different. But that's all of my opinion, hope it's useful for you.

"LP" (long play) and "EP" (extended play) apply to vinyl records mostly , not cd's Just as 45 , 33 and 1/3 , and 78 apply to them. I bet i'm really confusing a lot of people now.....
