don't try using just condoms for 2-3 years chances are good you'll get lazy and forget at the wrong moment or something b/c they're just not very convenient...try using the pill for maybe a year and other alternatives the rest of the time there are some like the ring (Nuvaring) and spermicides and other vginal contraceptives that are suppose to be pretty effective also i'm not positive but you might want to look into the shot or the patch those health effects can be very different from the pill and not as bad if you only want to wait 2-3 years.

The best way not to have a baby is not to have sex. Considering you are married I assume this would not be the best option. Condoms are 99% effective if used right every time. The pill is also very effective. My doctor told me that a "mini" pill will return fertility shortly after stop taking it unlike the other ones. There is also the Depo Shot. With that you usually do not have a period while taking it, and only get it every three months. Although it can take longer to regain fertility. There is also many methods out there. The best would be for you and your wife to talk to her doctor. Just remember it only takes one sperm and one egg to make a baby.

condoms, used in the correct way are the best remedy for postponing pregnancy. All methods of contraception, including condoms are not 100% fool proof, out of which condom has less and very less side effects.

taking the pill wont harm your wife but its not 100% affective. condoms are good but they can break. maybe you could suggest to your wife the depo previa injection...
