Google Earth. It's not live, but gives AMAZINGLY detailed images of most areas of the globe. Its images are actually a collage of images taken over a span of several years, so when you zoom in on your neighbourhood, you may be looking at a picture of your house that is 3-5 years old, and when you scroll over to the local school or park, you may see something quite recent.
It scrolls seamlessly from what I've seen. I was able to pick out my house, and see the front sundeck, furniture on it, and determine that the image was taken after I moved into the house, as there is a patio roof that we added to the back sundeck. We've been in this house 4 years.
PS - if you are running an older system, you will not be able to download google earth. I have it on a 1 yr old machine - but my kids machine, running Win98 won't handle it.

I know you said you went to google earth, but i don't know if you know, but google earth's free version are really old images. You can get the more advanced google earth that you have to pay for, the pictures aren't live, but they are more recent. They put new images on that version a couple of times a year.

If you can't find what you are looking for live, I know where I live you can have an aerial view of your home photographed. Phonebook? Or dex.com? Happy views!
