This word is still not used in Hebrew.

"Lord" means master of a household, ruler, superior. It comes from Old English ("hlaford"), and this is one of the translations for the Hebrew word "Adonay" (אדוני), means my ruler, my master (אדון= master, lord +י= my)...

Actually Lord is the english version. The Hebrew word used was Adonai. It is simply a title of God.

Lord is English, from "Laird" or "Landholder".

It means ruler, or person of authority.
