im always thinking i sometimes cant stop it .. im thinking about diffrent issues. things from where the universe started to the iran war, and policitcs..to just theroys of different things. quantum physic theroys and how different movies or shows or things apply to real life. i sometimes ponder so much it makes everyone around me feel im distant and bored with they're company. i ponder so often i dont even know im doing it .. i over analyze everything and try to see things in several different views. when im some where new i have a nack for looking around the area and explorering or just looking around and remembering diffrent things. i have a extremely gifted memory i think.. i can remember things and than later recall them as if i was acutally standing there .. i see both my physical eye realm and my brains eye realm at the same time.. just shadowed over each other what ever one im concenttrating on the most such as my minds eye ... whats wrong with me or am i just extremely gifted ?

if it seems im rambling or sound as any other poster on here . its probably due to the fact that most people cant comprehend a question if put into a well dignified and prepared statement .. because most people cant come to other peoples relevance

First you are probably dyslexic, second you have a photographic memory, and I will bet you are ambidextrous. I also bet you have trouble sleeping.

Well the memory part is a gift, otherwise I think your somewhat like me, I once found myself thinking about how the human brain works in math class.....

And I can see whatever I'm imagining and whatevers in front of me at the same time, at least until I slip completly into...wherever.
Then I am completly oblivious to the physical world. Then someone will say something or whatever and I won't remember what happened, which is why I don't babysit. I tryied once. I was fiddling with some rocks and didn't hear a kid crying until one of the other volunteers yelled at me.

But then, all my friends have this tendency, though some more than others....

I can also mentally fold flat patterns into boxes, which is weird...

This is the nature of the mind. It is doing what a mind does, thinking and analyzing. The problem arises when you let your mental meanderings control you and affect you to the point of making you inoperative when action is required, or operative when rest is the best course. Having the capability to shift perspectives can be quite useful. Wisdom, can be considered the ability to choose the most appropriate one for a particular situation. At times it will be necessary to put aside the mental thoughts and enter the common space we humans interact through.

And what ever happens don't do drugs. You already sound like the 'after' ramblings of a marijuana experience. Not to be mean, I just think at best it will be redundant.

First, I am a nurse and have experience in psychiatrics.

Racing thoughts and an inability to sleep can signal a problem with your health. Also, you sound like you may have some 'grandiose' notions about your abilities.

We are all gifted, undoubtedly. Each one of us is blessed, no matter how intelligent we are. What matters is how we feel and how our emotional health is. Have you ever seen a Beautiful Mind? Intelligence isn't a gift if it comes with strife and discord. I have a lot of experience with the sort of things you're describing, personally and professionally. I do think you should tell your doctor exactly what you've described here. And good luck to you, you sound like a neat person! :)

Careful or you'll end up in the loony bin. Your potential is great.
You could be another:

Albert Einstein---a total genius with no people skills

Kurt Cobain--Extremely gifted, albeit clinically depressed and suicidal artist

Adolph Hitler--paranoid, evil, and powerful with a serious Napoleon complex

Mohandas Gandhi--deep, spiritual, pure soul, surely God's own right hand man.

Ponder on those options. The possibilities are endless

Something doesn't jive. If you are gifted and have a keen memory, why are your language skills no better than most of the other posters here? I don't believe you are gifted or crazy. I find you to be like a great many people. There are worse things to be.

If people around you don't appreciate you, they're probably just not your type. It's not you and it's not them. It's just incompatibility. Good luck!

you and i should talk. i am just like this my professors and fellow students hate me for it sometimes. its like why is the biggest question in the universe and can almost answer it if i could just put off sleep a little while longer-lol. as for great minds accomplish things this is true but maybe you haven't figured out what you want to specialize in. i chose psychology because i want to get paidto think philosophy would be great too but not as much money. you are not crazy, the world is crazy for not seeing the truth in life. most people go through life without questioning it. your lot in life is to ask why. good luck

I wonder if you are just putting us on. I would love to know how old you are, what your education level is, are you on any meds, legal or not, and what makes you think you are gifted? Your question is rambling, the sentences disorganized and the spelling abysmal. I can't imagine you being able to hold a job of any kind, and if you are really so preoccupied with random thoughts as you describe, you need a lot of help. I don't believe you have any special gift, unless it is the medieval gift of insanity. Gifted people may lack social skills, but their thinking is very clear and organized. You, my poor friend, are babbling.

Mankind has been asking questions and searching for answers for thousands of years.
You have an uncommon curiosity that is found in only about 10% of the population of the earth.
Enjoy searching for your answers, but remember to take time out to smell the roses, the coffee, and to enjoy your friends.
Even if at time their conversation isn’t mentally stimulating enough to keep your attention.
Try harder to pay attention to them. You will like yourself more if you do and they will appricate you as well.

Test your IQ then ask again?!?! There are just cerebral ppl out there, but maybe you need to have a definitive answer, so start with that!

I say better to be around a thinker than someone with cotton candy up there!
