Celebrities are heroes and role models when they use their popularity to raise money for the less fortunate or endorse/support an important cause.
Russell Crowe has issues/weaknesses such as anger and courting married women, but he is human and is prone to do stupid things. Each year there are less people in the world that live a life that is worth imitating.
There is so much more to being not only a man, but a human being.

No, not at all, movie stars are actors, and Hero are people who risk their everything for other, for mankind, to do good for a return is easy, but to risk you everythin for nothing in return is an act of heroism.
The actors in da movies, no matter if its Tom Cruise, BradPitt or Tom Hanks, they are all good or bad actors in each of their project. But their understanding of responsibilities and attitude of a Hero towrds life and living being is what makes people love them , admire them and call them Heroes(Portrait of a Hero, I would call them)

Some are yes, like Gerard Butler, who saved that drowning child. That's a hero. Or the ones who do similar things like that.

For me John Wayne was always my hero. He defined what being a man was.

No, and if I ever have a kid who thinks so I'll spank them.
They're people just like the rest of us, except with more money.
