It won't automatically make you more financially successful. It will provide you with more (& more diverse) opportunities to be financially successful. One of the most financially successful people I went to high school with never attended college (he owns a window washing business) -but he's the exception, he saw an opportunity & took advantage of it despite the fact that he didn't have a college education. Some college graduates are not very good at taking advantage of their opportunities. Is it worth the money for a Bachelor's degree? For some people, absolutely -but for others, no. Life is what you make of the opportunities -I believe that my degrees were worth it for me, but they were no guarantee of success if I didn't take advantage of the opportunities they provided me.

mmmmmmmmmm I have a Bachelors in Psychology and I work at a min. wage job. Therefore, one might say it didn't pay for me.
But, I believe that I am a better person with my education than without it. I know I have my education and I use it with my choices and interests. The value I have from my education far exceeds any money. I do feel successful in my life regardless of how much I earn or what I do to earn it. I was able to attend college, graduate and be educated for my entire life. No one can ever take that from you. It is a part of you that brings unmeasurable value to you in your life.

An education is an asset but there are others too. Other examples include having superb people skills, athletic skill, looks, luck, drive, passion, coolness, I.Q. and...., also a trust fund. All of these can help you achieve professional success but none are guaranty of it happening. The same with education, it certainly help, but it is neither a guaranty nor the only way. In general, the more assets the better off you are.
As for the second question, it depends on so many things.

I think that people who go to college learn many skills that are necessary to get a good job. Not because you go to college it means that you are an expert, but college gives you the tools to start your career. It is also a way for employers to know that you can go through challenges and come out victorious. After you attend college, people have more confidence in what you are capable of doing. It's not really the title what is worth, but the countless hours of experience that you get on every day problem solving, time management, interpersonal communication, etc.

I don't believe it is the college degree, there are many kids who go to college and learn nothing. I personally believe it has more to do with drive to succeed. I know many people who didn't go to college or didn't get a full degree (like myself) and are perfectly happy and successful. Success doesn't always come in the form of money. Anyway, that's just my opinion.

I depends on what career you want to have. Anything in the business world you'll probably want a degree for. However, if you are thinking of doing something else, like getting into contracting or anything like that I don't think a degree is really neccessary. I would go to college either way though. It's always good to have a degree to fall back on.

Although a college education is not needed for financial success (Myself and a few friends are proof of this), there is NO bad involved in getting the most education you can. With my friends and I, none of us went to work/ military right out of high school. To a man, ALLO of us went back to school after we became more financially settled... even when it was not required.

It is worth the money. I suppose it depends what you are taking.I have friends who have gotten their masters and doctorates, but still make less than I used to (with just a degree). My best friend spent 7 years in University studying math and now is an artist for a living.....
