I was wondering, if I start my son on a sippy cup can I put his formula in it and start to wean him from his bottle(only if my son shows me he is ready to). To move only as fast as my son is ready to.

I never put formula in the sippy cup. I always put juices in the cup so my sons would be more likely to take to the cup. The formula really tastes bad. I would try the juices they make for babies if the formula doesn't work.

I agree with countrygirl. I always kept the formula for the bottle and juice for the sippy cup. And vice versa. I never put juice in a bottle. In the end, it all seems to make it easier to break them from the bottle. Just continue to move at baby's pace. He will let you know when he is ready.
