I work for Dell. The laptops are excellent, but an extended warranty will be very beneficial, because the hardware can fail and the replacement costs is way higher that all the money you will pay for the warranty.

yes - You should get an extended warranty on any laptop. You never know when somethings going to go wrong. Unlike desktops, laptop parts aren't easily replaced. Since they usually get thrown around and handles more roughly than desktops, it's a good idea to protect it.

Yes! and definitely get the accidental breakage. Those tru-life screens are so expenzive and aren't covered under the warranty if you drop it, or close it with a pen on the keyboard or something. They come to your house to fix it, you can't beat that.

I'd say YES !!Right now I'm going thru a crisis with mine. They won't help you on the phone unless you have a warranty or pay a large sum of $.

don't spend your money, if it works okay for 1 year it would work fine for 3 years...and if you drop it and brake it then warranty won't cover it

p.s. i wouldn't buy dell anyway..search google for "dell horror stories"..see what people are saying before you buy something... , after your pay money the customer service is terrible anyway, if something brakes you'll spend alot of your time before they fix it...
