If I hired you for the same job, I would pay you the cost of the food plus $4/hr for daytime hours and $1/hr for nighttime hours. Plus reimbursement for gas and entertainment expenses. So I would probably total it all at around $650. Break it down and present it to your parents. As long as they see it as reasonable, they should agree. Good Luck!

I would say $250.

However, keep in mind that this is your first real income producing job and there are a few things you need to know. First off... you determine your price of “What the market will bear.”

What that means, is what the highest amount your competitors are charging. That is what the market will bear but not necessarily how much you can get paid. Your goal is to get as close to that as possible.

So you need to be a business lady and understand that you are going to negotiate the price.

Another key term to understand besides of what the market will bear is “Business is Business.”

Doesn’t make much sense does it? Well here is what it means....

It means you don’t get mad if you can’t get paid what you want or what you think you deserve to get. You also don’t get your feelings hurt. Why? Because it is “just” business and Business is Business. It’s your job to negotiate your best price. That is what business is about and what a business lady does. After you are done negotiating then you live with the results. Because, Business is Business.

Business isn’t personal. Business isn’t always fair. Business is just Business.

If you’re lucky they will pay you what you ask for. If you are too high, you negotiate and deal. This is where you need to strike a deal... a business deal. Give them the price. If they say it is too high, don’t come down on the price and don’t give them a better price. Ask them how much they think it is worth. Once they tell you, then you have your two numbers to negotiate... and that is exactly where you want to start.

Let’s say you told them you wanted $350 and they said, “Wow! That is way too high.” Then ask them how much they want to pay. If they say, “Well, I didn’t want to pay over $250.” Then you have the range between $250 and $350. You deal (or compromise) and say, “I’ll meet you half way... I’ll do it for $300.” Many times they will go between your offer of $300 and their $250 and offer you $275. You are now getting at a place where you can “both” deal and strike a business deal. But business is business and if your potential customer isn’t willing to go above $250 you might have to agree to that. It’s not personal, as you did your best with your first business deal.

If you feel like you got the bad end of the deal then you can probably sell one of the eleven year olds for probably around $75 if he has good teeth and not sick. I’d sell my brother first since you will probably get to keep some of his things when he is gone.

Hello,

I think that it is something you should discuss with your parents and your aunt and uncle.

Typically, even though you are going to be the babysitter for 24 hours a day for 1 week, they are 11 year olds - and you are related to them. In my experience 11 year olds are pretty self sufficient when it comes to entertaining themselves.

On the other side, you shouldn't let your relatives take advantage of you because you are all related. to them. I would figure out what you get paid per hour (and not consider from bedtime to when they wake up). So probably 14 hours per day.

And then when your parents and relatives discuss it with you, you can come with some sort of figure in your head to negotiate with them.

I hope this helps, and good luck.

How old are you? Are you really going to be the one in charge for the whole week? You're not going to be doing other things on your own? If you're 16 or 17 and going to be their "nanny" for the week I think you should get at least $100. A licensed day care place would probably charge $75-80 each.

Well I went to Miami and my mother watched my (at the time) 11 month old daughter so for 4 days and 3 nights I payed her $400.00. So go from that...and think of a reasonable pay.

uh well
do it for charity and then later ur aunt or who ever might get you something better cuz she'll feel sorry for "using" you.
later if that builds up she'll probably do anything you ask
think of it as an "investment of the future"
if not just get about 7 dollars an hour
