Why do they get free formula, diapers etc for their kids when they are illegal. also free medicine, and free food?? Why do they get everything free, and the poor blue collared LEGAL person cant even pay for their medications, food, gas etc. is there a problem here???

Your guess is as good as mine. Why do they get to come here and drop a baby and get to live here forever? The child is an American if it is born here....why? Shouldn't the law change to say, If a parent is here "legally" and has a child, then it is a citizen. Why do we feed these illegals free breakfasts and lunches in our schools? Why do we cater to the "Spanish" speaking people (legal or not) and not to any other non English speaking immigrant in the country? Every immigrant from the start of this country, has come here and had to learn the English language. Why do the people from the Spanish speaking countries think that they are better than all the other immigrants from the beginning of the this great country? We should speak "their" language? I don't think so......Any country in the world would expect a person that lives in that country to speak the language of the country.......if I lived in France.....I would have to learn French.....if I lived in Spain, I would have to learn Spanish......if I lived in Germany, I'd have to speak German......why would we, as Americans expect anything less? I understand that we are a melting pot of cultures....but to live in harmony, we need to communicate in the same language. And that language is ENGLISH. And why, when it is required to become a citizen of the USA to be able to read and write ENGLISH, is the ballot to vote, in SPANISH??? Does anyone else see a problem here?

The problem is with people like you. Think about what would happen if you had to leave your country because you were raped every single day and beaten. Those women come here to make a better life for their children. The govt. is set up to help all people in need. The parents might be illegal, but those children who are born here are legal. Just a little FYI, not all of those illegal immagrants get those benefits. Most of them lie to recieve it. So, stop complaining about the problem and take those people some food when you see them. If the mother is illegal but gives birth in the US her child is a citizen. Sad but true it does seem that the legal blue collared workers are often over looked as for WIC most times families make slightly more then what is allowed for services and are refused. Guess the government doesnt realize that just because they dont meet poverty or low income guidelines doesnt mean they arent living paycheck to paycheck and barely making it.. Free Diapers? Man I shoulda had a baby by an illegal..lol

Some essential things needs to be provided to all people. It's part of having a heart and being human.
Nearly all legal people here, including myself, do not have problems paying for food and gas and are getting much better products and services than the free stuff they hand out at the poor clinics. There is no need for you to be jealous of the illegals.

I do not know why illegal immigrants get so much help in America. By no means do I wish that they do without the necessities, but it hurts to know that my husband and I struggle everyday to feed our children, and illegals have things handed to them. We have been without health insurance for 5 years. Last month, my children got very ill with a respitory infection, and we spent our life savings in 1 month. $1400.00 in 30 days. I have tried WIC, medicaid,food stamps, cash assistance, and kids incorporated- no one will help us. We make just over the limit, unfortunately,it isnt nearly enough to thrive. We just survive. Since I am married, I do not qualify for any financial aid for college. Honestly, what does the Government think we can do, will no stones to step on? If we all were treated equal, I would never say a word, but the truth is, we are not. We Americans are pushed aside to help illegal immigrants. And that hurts.

Illegal immigrants have a hard time getting a job as sometimes you need to put down your social security number or driver's license number on applications. If you aren't legal, you probably don't have either of those therefore you don't have a job.
The get stuff for free because they probably go places where they can't/won't get turned down such as the health department, food pantry, etc.
I'm totally with you on this one. If you want to be in America, live as an American!!

what illegal immigrants are you talking about? is there a "free store for immigrants" that i don't know about? blue collared legal person? um, it's called when you are below the poverty line or earn an amount that is low, the government assists you in healthcare. what would you have the govt. do anyway? starve the immigrant's babies? don't give them any medicine? it isn't going to help you or me to do that as hungry people turn into desperate people. have a little compassion, read a little bit more than what's fed to you on Fox news, educate yourself before you make such offensive broad statements.

Hell yea, there is a problem here. To many people are so worried about amnesty and protecting the "rights" of illegals, till they fall short of a couple of things. How in the hell can they have "rights" if they are illegal and why are some people concerned about how they feel. I mean, c'mon, if we were to go to any other country like their own, demanded to be treated as if we were citizens with our hands out, what would they do? Not a damn thing but laugh and take whatever we had. I think it a bunch of political bullshit to allow amesty for them. We have to live by the rules set for us from birth. Why the hell do they not have to do the same? THEY ARE ILLEGAL.!!!!!

Hey peep, shawnie -- the illegals that live all around us, and yes when they go to the hospitals and have thier babies here just to get free health care, it does cost us money -- a lot of money, and it comes out of our pockets by higher hospital costs, higher taxes, higher insurance rates, etc. The money has to come from somehere -- ever hear of the saying "nothing in life is free."
