That pedal is worth the money, and it just might give your band a unique sound. Be aware tho' that it is an instrument in and of itself, with it's own learning curve. Plus, it will make playing your current instrument more difficult.
I'd say at least try it, if it dosen't work out, at least you can say you tried.
Another option is go ahead and start the band, write some songs. When it comes time to play some shows, there should be a freelance bassist in your area that will play with you at the show for a small fee.

Im sure it cant be harmful to you, but it probably wouldnt be very good for the bass or the sounds coming out of the bass.

first of all, you'll git mest up, the bass will sound lame cuz theres not alot you can do w/ you feet, it's harder to move if you can git to playing that bass w/ your feet make it sound good & make the... whatever your playing sound good to plz go 4 it but it's not going to work... PS i play bass in CA
