Richard Nixon. And many of his team.
Watergate was the reason. I was too young to understand all that.
Henry Kissinger was part of the Nixon team.
In recent weeks, the Bush Administration has been having private talks with Kissinger. Makes me wonder why.
Maliki has pleaded with us to stay in Iraq indefinitely. Saddam was given the death sentence on Sunday. Yesterday, Donald Rumsfeld stepped down. I have a feeling all these things are closely tied. I just don't know what. Maybe something on the scale of Watergate. I think the Bush Administration is trying to cover up another scandal. I also wonder what Cheney's up to these days. I haven't seen him in any of the news conferences that Bush has had in the last few days. mmhh, mmhh, mmhh. I smell a rat. Bush is usually surrounded by all his best buds when making a speech. Laura wasn't around either. Hmmm.

Richard M. Nixon resigned before his second term in office was completed. A paranoid madman, he was one of the first of many Republicans to reach into a bag of 'dirty tricks' to win - at any cost. -RKO-

Richard Nixon comes to mind. He did it to spare the nation the agony of an impeachment proceeding (probably because he did not want to be the first president to be successfully impeached).
