There is no such thing as an official 8th wonder of the world.
Way back 2200 years ago, Greek scholars compiled what they called the 7 wonders of the world. Later, other took on the idea, and never really bothered listing the runners up, or to expand the list beyond 7.
The expression 8th wonder of the world is thus used (and abused) by anyone who think that something specific is just as great as the 7 listed one.
All in all, this is all pretty arbitrary.

because there are only seven in the ancient world and then there were the seven modern wonders of the world but the eighth would have to be stupid, there is no other way that we will get out of it until we pay the dues for being perceived as stupid so there is no way to enjoy what I've written because there can't be an eighth wonder unless it will set us free or stop spying in our inboxes or anything that can be good and can't be manipulated to something else still if you could acknowledge that guys would probably say women are the eighth wonder of the world we would be on the right track to getting supper tonight!

In my opinion, the eighth wonder of the world (if we're not saying it has to be created by man) is the coincidence of plants making just the right bi-products (oxygen and carbohydrates) to support life on earth in the form of kingdom animalia.

George W. Bush is trying very hard to be the eighth one himself. I don't know who told him that there isn't such a thing in the world (Maybe Cheney told him, I don't know). However, up to this day, he has only succeeded in making himself an ***.
