There's probably a book you can buy @ Borders or something in the Entertainment/Film Section that might offer you grips of that information. But usually you should just do an independent search for each movie. For example, the movie might take place in Ireland, but they actually do the shooting in New Zealand. & Most credits of the movies tell you the locations they shot at. Also a lot of films are shot @ high schools, college campuses & well known restaurants. Other than that...these movies are probably filmed inside the backlots of studios like Universal Studios in Hollywood....a lot of great movies that look like real locations are just set up with miniatures & cardboard.
