I can not hear anything because my sound is not working, can someone help me fix it?

I had phone problems monday and the only thing that does not work now is my sound. Can someone tell me how to fix my audio?
When I play games my speakers are not playing any sound.

check if speakers r plugged in

check if volume is muted

click on start->control panel->sound,speech...->sound and audio devices

check around and see if everything is ok

Try going to the control panel. In order to do that, click on start, then on control panel. Then go to "system". Then click on "Hardware". Then click on "device manager". Find anything listed as "audio...." Click on it. Right click on "update driver".

If that doesnt work, then click on your control panel again, and go to your "sounds and audio" icon, and make sure you have the right thing activated. Also, I made a mistake on time and didnt plug my speakers in all the way.

If anything, try doing the updates thru microsoft.
