This speech is used when you are:
-Well Behaved
-Good Grades
-Good Help

"Dad? I have been getting good grades in school, I've helped around the house, and I have been a good child. I never ask you for anything, but can you buy me an iPod? My friends all have a MP3 player. I will promise to keep my grades up and help the family more around the house."

P.S. Search in the internet for ipod discounts.

Ah! Those things are awesome. I only have a video mp3 player.

Sneak pics of video iPods every morning so he can get a clue that you want one for christmas. Tell him it is for christmas. It is coming up you know!!!

An iPod video is a perfect gift for someone your age. I am assuming you are between the ages of 14 - 22.

hmmm... tell him to drive you to an electonic shop and show him that u'r interested in that device. Plus, Chrismas is coming, probably he'll ask. The best thing to do is save money and buy it yourself.
