I would shop around for collectors if you have some serious stuff. Do web searches andfind forums. Not knowing where to start myself. That's what I would do. Also if you did decide to use ebay I would research how they are selling there. You might just want to end up on holding on to them. I would also consider aniversery dates of the albums and groups. People who are fans and collectors seem to be easer to find during those times.

Of course it's legal. It's illegal if you copying it and then you sell the copy to anybody. ok.

You can do this :
-ask your friends about the collection that you will sell, maybe some of your friend need.

-find the closest records store that near to your place, of course the used store , so many store also in the internet, like thecdexchange, django, music recyclery etc

-you can sell as a garage sell in your place.

- You can sell it by yourself at :
ebay
amazon
musicstack.com
gemm.com
netsounds.com

If they are originals and not copies. Yes it is legal and eBay will probably be a good source for sales.

You can advertise or take them to a used record shop. However the record shop will give you a MUCH lower price then their true value.

you can legally sell anything you own. All you need to do is ask anyone if they want to buy it, or place an ad in your local newspaper. Or better yet, try to ebay it, or garage sale them. Good luck!
