stop it but one girl ended up with a bloody nose, I have a black eye and my friend has nasty bruises on the side of her face. We all agreed not to tell anyone and acted like nothing happened for the rest of the day, but I'm worried if this girl has a broken nose she's going to tell someone and we'll all get into trouble. Should I just tell my mom or the principal at school?

Someone is going to notice your cuts and bruises and ask questions- they may even report your parents for suspicion of child abuse. Tell your mom, at least, and see what she says.

Yes because if this young lady has a broken noise because you didn't come forward she could say that you was an accessory and that you both jumped her. In the best interest of you I would say talk to your mother go to her let her go with you to the principal also bring a tape recorder don't stop the tape till your completely out. Things today are always blown out of proportion so go with your mom to the principle and be completely honest. Try not to show favoritism trying to cover for your friend. Because the truth will eventually come out.

It is probably better to tell someone before you get caught. At least this is the responsible and mature thing to do. You will probably get into far less trouble and your friend with her broken nose can get it set before she ends up needing plastic surgery. Next time it would probably be best to walk away before it escalates into an actual fight.

yes, eventually you will get into trouble for trying to cover up for your friend, its better to tell what happened and you just happen to be there at the time it happened.
tell whomever it is that you tried to prevent them from fighting.
