The original movie this is a remake of is Italian and very good. I didn;t see the Madonna version because I know it can;t be as good as the original. In the first one, the woman goes back to her rich husband.

I dont think anyone has actually sat through the entire movie to find out. This is a bad movie, and not in a so bad its good way.
Get hold of 'Swept Away... by an Unusual Destiny in the Blue Sea of August' (1974) directed by Lina Wermuller. Blends class politics, Italian machismo and heaps of nudity into an interesting film that had anything interesting removed to form the basis of the Madonna flick.
