Part of being a Christian means you have a ongoing personal relationship with Christ. If one has this then adultery has difficulty creeping in.

Dharma has a good point. Don't judge all Christians on the behavior of a few geeks. I was once told that Christ said "pick up your cross and follow me". This didn't mean to follow other Christians. You see them you won't see Christ. Even though I am sure they would disagree. Angel, I'm sorry you have someone who is obviously a hypocrite. There are so many out there. Then you have the person who is so heavenly minded they are no earthly good. Even in the news you have heads of religious sects that are having homosexual affairs and dealing drugs. It's hard to know where to turn. Just keep with the wisdom, look for it, search for it. Shake your head in disgust when you see others like the one you are describing, but, DO NOT use them as an excuse to be a wacko too!

There are many so Called Christians that talk but do not walk in the Christian path. First, consider the fact that we are all sinners and fall short of being perfect. Then consider the fact that most Christian religions do not tech the truth. By their fruits you will recgnize them. A good tree produces fine fruit, does it not? And if it does not does not its owner cut it down and throw it inti the fire? So too, it will be with those that do not produce fine works, for if you do not follow the teachings of our Lord, Jesus Christ, then you too may wind up being thrown into the everlating fire, the second death, from which there is no resurrection. .....KECK

That is a complicated question. I believe that there are certain things that are right to do, and certain things that are wrong to do. And I have done many things that I don't think are right. But I still don't think they are right. Everyone makes mistakes. It is one thing to make a mistake and learn from it, and another to keep repeating the same mistake. So I think they mean well, even if they do some of the things they say not to do.

It may seem like all Christians are screwed up if you listen to the news but read between the lines. You aren't going to hear about the overwhelming majority that don't make the headlines for being morally upright. In today's society that isn't newsworthy.
Keep the faith sister!

Just because you're a Christian, doesn't mean you won't make mistakes. Sometimes, being a Christian, you're tested and tempted more. Just because you're singling out a few examples, doesn't mean all are like that. Being a Christian, you have the assurance that when you stumble and fall; you know you'll be forgiven and can move forward again.

Sounds like a hypocrite to me. I believe in God, but that is one reason that I cannot go to church. I know before I walk into the doors of a church that I am a sinner, and that I will probably do it again, so why be hypocrite about it.

He is lost and needs to find god for now he has fallen into the path of the evil one. Stay smart and do what you must to feel content in your own life.

The purpose of Christianity is to become more Christ like. this is an impossible task. We must remember that Christians are not perfect, just forgiven for not being perfect.

Do not judge all Christinas by someone who made a mistake or a few who makes istakes!!!
We all are human and those who really believe in God cannot stray. THose who do obviously need to contact him more.
