4KIDS ruined yu-gi-oh, its ment for teens, the REAL version has blood and other good stuff. There is no shadow relm in the real yugioh, if u lost a shadow duel you'd die!

i agree 100%.... and it's not completely 4kids' fault.... we can also blame the fcc and parents that don't want their kids watching that stuff.... i like the subbed version so much more

Its nothing new to this at all. All you did was inform the little kids who play the card game that their favorite show had blood, some murder, and a scene in which Joey goes drag. And if you didnt know this. 4kids totally skipped an entire season of it. pretty much the first season since it didnt even involve card battling yet.
But seriously, next time, ask a question and let the kiddies find out for themselves about stuff like this.

Hey, I like YuGiOh, and I'm 17. It has been one of my favourite animes for a long time. And YuGiOh is not a kid's show, despite what people say. However, the dubbed version could easily pass as a kid's show. People now think YuGiOh is just plain kiddish because it was released in America like that; 4Kids has a tendency to do that. YuGiOh is for older teens and older; it has guns, blood, swearing, and mature themes. Also, some times, when one person thinks something is uncool, there will definitely be followers (sheep), who will wan to follow that leader and they will say that "something" is uncool. It then becomes a "trend", that it's "cool" to think something is "uncool". YuGiOh has fallen victim to that sort of treatment, and I think it's unfair, because I bet half of those people who say YuGiOh is a kid's show haven't even seen it. I think the plot of YuGiOh is actually quite good, with the Egyptian theme and all that. However, I do agree that the English version of YuGiOh is quite kiddish, but that's not what YuGiOh is really like. Whatever you do, don't lose your passion for watching it, 'cause I sure won't, not matter who many people think it's an uncool kid's show!

And neither do they do well with One Piece, but there's a reason why people realease Fansubs and Fan-translations. I'm pretty sure Japan also brocasted a fair share of badly dubbed/translated American shows.
