The photocell (the little eye that "sees" the light or lack of it) is too close to the light you are trying to control. Move the photo or the light, which ever is easier.

If your "dusk to dawn" light is under an eve than it may be getting crossed signals as to day and night. The eye is very sensitive and it detects the difference in your light source. Mine did that and I moved it to another part of the eve that is exposed more during the day...the shadows at noon time would even trigger it. hope this helps you out

It could be that your ballast is burning hot and temporarily shutting the light off. It would probably be less expensive to replace the light than repair it. It may also be a bad bulb and needs to be replaced. Assuming that it has operated without problem in the past, I would change the bulb. If that doesn't do it, return the bulb and replace the fixture. Good luck!
P.S. If its' a bad photocell it would not turn on. If there is a new source of light in the area it could affect your photocell's performance by creating enough light to put your fixture in shut down mode.

Is there a switch for you to reset it? Ours has one and the sensitivity is adjusted by turning it off for a certain amount of time then back on. Read instructions if you kept them. Go to the store you bought it and read it there if you didn't keep them. Its probably just the light sensor. m

Never seen so many stupid answers. If you dont know shut up! If it it a new install it may be the sensor picking light. If it is an old install, first check bulb. If not the bulb it is the ballast.

It just gets a little to warm and shuts off to cool down. This could take only a minute or it could take up to 5 minutes. It's normal to be like that
