Without any doubt was this a referendum on the Iraq War and George Bush. That has always been the case. If a president is in the second term, the mid term elections within the second term are nearly always a vote up or down on the president.

And since Bush has made Iraq the cornerstone of his administration, the people who are discontented with the war (around 65%) voted against Bush the only way they could - against the Republican Senate and House members running for re-election.

yea i thnk so because the war was not just a war it was huge . In one month it can kill like at least 200 troops. In one year there are 24000 troops dying. But now iraqi people is getting more ammunition and weapons. So now more troops are dying and we are in a civil war right now. we are in the middle of it. If we leave now we can leave iraq all to thier own to fight the war instead of everyday there is a mother or father or grand father that doesnt have a son grandson or husband so we need to get them out !! alive or dead and the democrats are going to do that!

Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! I'm so sick of the war! I usually vote for the best guy/woman, not along party lines. But I'll take almost any dem over a repub these days. We need to get our troops out of Iraq.

Yes I think it was the biggest factor. People want a change. I would like to see our troops come home. But taking them all out would only make us look stupid. We need to finish what we start and do what we say were going to do. If we have done that i see no reason why we should still be there.

"The War" didn't bring anyone out. Bush's mishandling of the war brought the people out.

The war had nothing to do with why the people voted. It's their duty to their country to vote.
